Overview This position plans, develops, organizes, supervises, monitors and evaluates assigned clinical programs. This position maintains multiple programs and multiple sites. The Clinical Supervisor will function as a liaison between BHP Departments, patients, families, communities, health care providers, etc. Responsible for meeting productivity requirements. This position will lead and attend meetings and conduct on-going staff trainings. Typical hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some evening and weekend hours may be required to meet program needs. Supervise the License Mental Health Professionals, including: hiring, orienting, coaching, evaluating and effectively managing performance to ensure staff possess the needed skills to deliver high quality service to customers Provide ongoing, continuous management oversight as a coach who supports the growth and development of employees Assess and direct or redirect daily workflow to ensure safety, accuracy and efficiency of work product Recruit/interview/hire staff. Coordinate orientation of new staff, and ensure ongoing education of current staff Provide training, mentoring, leadership and direction to staff. Educate staff on the complex needs of patients Maintain and monitor the productivity level of staff to maximize efficiency and control costs. Manage the staffing schedule to assure adequate staffing levels, and approve timecards. Complete timely performance reviews of staff according to policy Create and support a productive team environment through effective communication and availability to team members. Model enthusiasm and dedication to work and tactical objectives Supervision of Operations Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Licensed Mental Health Professionals to ensure exceptional care and service are provided for customers. Act as an expert resource for staff to resolve issues and answer questions Lead feedback and complaint resolution. Ensure all customer and staff concerns or complaints are handled promptly and properly. Document complaints, analyze for trends, and provide documentation to management. Evaluate and recommend changes in processes and procedures. Assist manager in developing competency and learning resources. Complete special projects as assigned and substitute for staff as needed. Recommend policies and procedures to ensure efficient and profitable business operations. Implement and monitor as necessary, and maintain policy and procedures manuals. Maintains Quality Improvement system for assigned programs which promote enhancement of program service effectiveness. Perform, audit and distribute quarterly utilization management testing for Diagnostic Evaluation Center staff. Participate with leadership in the strategic planning process and establishment of operational goals. Ensure goals set for department are met. Review administrative and clinical documentation daily, preparing a weekly report for management. Clinical Services Organizes the job tasks, case assignments and other responsibilities of clinical staff. May complete assessments or consults, as needed. Completes Clinical employees schedule including the on- call rotation Review documentation of services rendered by clinical staff. Ensures that documentation is done according to licensing standards, according to time and content requirements and that it is accessible to staff . Monitor staff documentation and billing for utilization review and quality management; provide ongoing feedback to staff Conduct DEC Oversight committees with multidisciplinary teams, including selecting cases for discussion Ensures compliance with related federal, state, local, and accredited regulatory requirements. Assess level of acuity of client and non-client crisis calls and identify and facilitate appropriate response. Works with the Network Department to facilitate the completion of the required credentialing paperwork for the licensed mental health professional. Service to Internal and External Customers Responsible for responding to queries pertaining to clinical services Provide expertise and answer questions for practitioners and office staff regarding BHPs requirements, systems, CPT billing codes, billing questions etc. Troubleshoot outstanding issues with practitioners and office staff. Locate and schedule routine and crisis appointments for patients. Compile all necessary information including demographics, presenting problem and prior history prior to triaging call. Education: Minimum Education What is the minimum level of education needed to perform this job, if any? Masters Degree in Psychology or Social Work If degree required, in what area? Preferably in psychology or other human or social service field. Preferred Education What level of education is preferred for this job, but not required? Minimum License/Certification/Registration What License/Certification/Registration is required for this position? Additional Requirements: List position requirements not described above (e.g., computer hardware/software, other office equipment, laboratory equipment, prior supervisor experience, etc.) Good working knowledge of electronic health records as well as a comfort level and willingness to utilize computer-based platforms for assessments along with proficiency with computers required. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and to quickly switch from one task to another.
