Serves on the PTSD Clinical Team within the Mental Health Service at the Roseburg VA Medical Center. Oversees MST care throughout the medical center to ensure quality control of MST-related treatment Responsible for updates and staff training regarding MST issues. Presents to MHS leadership and staff, presentations throughout the health care system as indicated. Responsible for all MST-related performance measures, including data collection, analysis and presentation performance measures to leadership. Expansion and development of MST programming. Responsible for provision and oversight of specific MST-targeted treatment modalities. Responsible for all data management related to MST programming. Responsible for implementation and dissemination of MST policies and guidelines. Recognized expert in MST-related matters throughout the health care system. Develops and implements measurement based care practices and services for Veterans receiving care for MST, and utilizes outcome evaluations to improve treatment services. Demonstrate the ability to design changes based on population changes within the area of the health care system and empirical findings from clinical practice. Performs specialized treatment of complex mental illness for patients seen in the PCT and broader Mental Health Service. Incorporates complex conceptualization in differential diagnosis and treatment of veteran patients, including making psychosocial and psychiatric diagnoses within approved clinical privileges or scope of practice. Screening of consults for military sexual trauma services from medical center and/or CBOC clinics. Biopsychosocial assessments. Treatment planning/goal setting. Referral(s) to service providers and specialty treatment clinics. Resource utilization and development. Advocacy, crisis intervention, education and prevention. Consultation on case management and care coordination. Evidence-based assessment and treatment including Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and/or other treatments consistent with clinical practice guidelines for PTSD. Administrative responsibilities to their assigned programs. Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy. Consult on advanced level case management interventions used in the treatment of veterans with serious medical and psychiatric disorders including military sexual trauma. Provides services that enhance access across the continuum of care. Provides services on an outpatient basis, but may interact and coordinate with inpatient treatment team members. Performs other related duties as assigned. Working throughout the health care system, including travel to surrounding Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) and medical center locations is a required part of this position.
