Job Description

Are looking for a collaborative, dynamic, practice environment? We are seeking Psychiatric - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

As we continue to expand our Behavioral and Population Health services, we have a full-time opening for a skilled Psychiatric - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to treat patients in our Behavioral Health Dept both virtually and in-person. They will work collaboratively with our Primary Care and specialty providers utilizing a hybrid work schedule from both home and in-office. The chosen candidate will work closely with our highly trained staff of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists, Clinical Social Workers, Nurse Care Managers and Psychiatry Staff to manage patient psychiatric conditions, provider psychiatric consultations, and help grow the Summit Health's psychiatry programs.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct patient care, including psychiatric assessment and medication management to patients in the Behavioral Health Dept
• Psychiatric consultations to primary care providers and patients face to face and via telehealth.
• Working collaboratively with staff psychiatrists on patient care
• Educating physicians and nursing staff on psychiatric disorders and medication management within the primary care setting
• Developing psychiatry services and programs to meet the needs of Summit Health's patients and providers

Successful candidates must be a NY licensed Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Compensation Range: $116,000-$145,000

The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, individual performance, quality measures and location of position.
